QOTD: Do you have any bookish related anxieties?⁣
⁣
One of my biggest reading related anxieties is lending my books to friends and family.⁣
⁣
For some reason, they rarely come back in the same condition they left. 😭⁣
⁣
To be fair, I really shouldn’t be talking - I’m sure I’ve left a couple of cheeto stains in some of my own books. 😅⁣
⁣
Do you let people borrow your books?⁣

QOTD: What’s a sequel you’re excited to read?⁣
⁣
I CANNOT wait to read the sequel to Shield of Sparrows!⁣
⁣
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from @redtowerbooks but that lowkey means I have to wait even longer for the next book.⁣
⁣
I NEED to know what happens next!⁣
⁣
I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a slow burn romantasy with some interesting plot twists.⁣

QOTD: What’s your favorite series in your favori QOTD: What’s your favorite series in your favorite genre?⁣
⁣
One of my favorites is the Guild Hunter series by Nalini Singh!⁣
⁣
You can tell how much I love it by the fact that I’m up to date with it, even 16+ books in.⁣
⁣
Normally, I’m terrible at keeping up with new releases, but I’m willing to put in some more effort to keep track of new sequels like signing up for author newsletters and adding the release date to ALL my calendars.⁣
⁣
How do you keep track of ongoing series?⁣

QOTD: What reading stats do you track?⁣ ⁣ The QOTD: What reading stats do you track?⁣
⁣
The benefit of not having a great reading month or quarter is that it’s much easier to catch up on updating your reading journal.⁣
⁣
I’m still playing around with my journal.⁣
⁣
I really want to have a physical log of my reads, reviews, and some stats this year, but it’s definitely harder to maintain than logging books into Storygraph and jogging a few thoughts down there.⁣
⁣
Plus, there’s no spell check or delete button to correct my spelling and any other errors.⁣
⁣
Whoops.⁣
⁣
Do you prefer digital or physical?⁣

QOTD: What was your favorite read of April?⁣ ⁣ QOTD: What was your favorite read of April?⁣
⁣
I think mine was SHIELD OF SPARROWS??⁣
⁣
I read it over the weekend, and I’m still digesting how I feel about it.⁣
⁣
Overall, April was a decent reading month for me - not exactly great (RIP my reading goal 💀), but it wasn’t too bad either (at least I finished more than 1 book…)⁣
⁣
How was your April?⁣

What are you looking forward to in May?⁣

QOTD: What’ll be your last read of April?⁣ ⁣ QOTD: What’ll be your last read of April?⁣
⁣
I think mine might be THE LIAR’S CROWN by Abigail Owen??⁣
⁣
I’ve had it for a few years now, and the series is finally finished, so there really is no reason to keep putting it off.⁣
⁣
The cover is so pretty, I feel like it’s been staring me down from my shelves these last few weeks.⁣
⁣
Plus, I really need to read some books off my physical TBR, so hopefully, I’ll actually read it and its sequel (and hunt down a copy of the last book).⁣
⁣
Do you have any tips on tackling your physical TBR?⁣

QOTD: What books are you looking forward to?⁣
⁣
SHIELD OF SPARROWS is on my list of May releases, so I was super, SUPER, excited when I saw this box in the mail. Thank you so much, @redtowerbooks!!⁣
⁣
Devney Perry was one of my favorite authors I discovered last year; she was also one of my most read. And her other 2025 release, MERIT, is currently my top book of the year so far.⁣
⁣
We’ll see if SHIELD OF SPARROWS can top that.⁣
⁣
Do you have any new favorite authors?⁣
