QOTD: What’s your favorite cover design feature?⁣ QOTD: What’s your favorite cover design feature?⁣
⁣
It’s hard to choose, but I love foiling and embossing or anything to give the cover a 3D effect. ⁣
⁣
The cover effect on this paperback copy of The Sun is Also a Star is extra cool because it really makes the string art look (and feel) more realistic.⁣
⁣
It kind of makes up for the annoying “bonus content inside” label printed on the corner.⁣
⁣

QOTD: What’s your favorite sport to watch (if any) QOTD: What’s your favorite sport to watch (if any)?⁣
⁣
For someone who doesn’t usually watch a lot of sports, I’ve been watching a lot lately with the Super Bowl and Olympics going on.⁣
⁣
But I’d rather read about them instead. 😅⁣
⁣
One of my favorites is Fumbled by Alexa Martin.⁣
⁣
It’s a second chance (American) football romance featuring a tight end and his high school sweetheart.⁣

QOTD: Did you find any new favorites last month?⁣ QOTD: Did you find any new favorites last month?⁣
⁣
Most of my reads in January were rereads so no new favorites for me.⁣
⁣
It was fun to dive back into the Guild Hunter series, though.⁣
⁣
On another note, I’m committed to using my reading journal this year.⁣
⁣
Last year was the first year I used one for the whole entire year and I really enjoyed it.⁣
⁣
But I’m also using Storygraph because digital tracking will always be more convenient.⁣
⁣
How do you track your reading?⁣

⁣
Alternative covers are cool, sprayed edges are gorgeous, and special end papers are beautiful, but what I really love in special editions are bonus content.⁣
⁣
I love a nice extended epilogue or short story, especially if they aren’t available anywhere else.⁣

QOTD: How was your January reading?⁣ ⁣ Mine was su QOTD: How was your January reading?⁣
⁣
Mine was surprisingly decent. I’m on track to hit my goal, but it kind of feels like I’m cheating a bit, since 5 of the 6 books I read were rereads.⁣
⁣
They were also all audiobooks too, which was interesting.⁣
⁣

QOTD: Do you take notes while reading?⁣ ⁣ I’m usua QOTD: Do you take notes while reading?⁣
⁣
I’m usually too engrossed in the story to take notes while I read, so I usually just brain dump into my reading journal afterwards.⁣
⁣
But even then, it’s usually just my thoughts.⁣
⁣
But for the Guild Hunter series, I’m trying to jot down a “short” summary about what happened.⁣
⁣
I have a goldfish memory and it’s a long series (soon to be 18 books!)… I don’t always have time to reread them all in order to remember what happened.⁣
⁣
And I wouldn’t have to reread 16 books if I’d kept detailed notes from the first time I read them.⁣
⁣
Not that I’m not enjoying rereading them, it’s just a LOT of books to reread - almost 25% of my 2026 reading goal.⁣
⁣
How do you prepare for an upcoming sequel?⁣
