BOOK HAUL:
Borrowed from library:
All Fall Down
by Ally Carter
I can’t wait to get started on this one!
A little side story: a while ago, my old YA librarian told me why the libraries never order signed books. She said that it would cause problems because some patrons would be tempted to “accidentally lose” a book that was autographed, or “accidentally” rip out the page that the author signed. I thought “seriously who would do such a thing?” And when I went to the library to pick this up, I found out it was signed. I got so excited and if not for the fact I already own a signed Ally Carter book (it’s personalized too!) I would find doing one of those things is really tempting. So the lesson is if your a librarian, try not to order signed books unless you want to deal with books that are “lost” and having to replace them.

This week was pretty interesting. The weather people were wrong and New Jersey (or at least where I live) didn’t not get more than a feet of snow. I got a snow day through. I also have a bunch of work and some sleepless nights (that’s what it felt like). Next week should be better and hopefully I would have figured what I’m going to do with this blog by then. On a side note, I’m working on replying to comments and we’ll see if I can get myself to schedule posts more than a day ahead of time.
How was your week?
Enjoy your books!
I’ve never seen a signed book at my library, definitely an odd thing! All Fall Down looks amazing! I’m still waiting on my copy, I hope you enjoy it!
We don’t have a lot of signed books either which is why I was so surprised to find that All Fall Down was signed, especially since Ally Carter is a pretty popular author. I hope you get your copy soon!
Thanks for stopping by Em! 😀
A signed book at my library would torture me because I’d be like contemplating on “losing” it so I can have it. Is that bad? I would totally give the library another copy to keep a signed one. [Tbh, I only read the first part of the post and I’m laughing now because I read the second part and your librarian is describing me.]

The Ally Carter looks interesting. I’ve heard good things about the author. Glad the weather people were wrong and you didn’t get too much snow! Have a great week and get some sleep!
That is exactly why we never have signed books at my library, but readers keep forgetting to bring them back all the same 🙂 Have a great week !
I have All Fall Down it seems good. We got snow here in the UK and everywhere went to a standstill. We don’t do well with weather LOL

Here’s my Weekly Recap!
I hope you enjoy the Ally Carter book. I’ve heard good things. I have not read this author. My STS
We have a winter storm going on today and I feel like all I have been doing is shoveling and more shoveling. My hands and back hurt 🙂 I’m looking forward to your thoughts on All Fall Down as it sounds like a good read. Enjoy! And I hope you have a great week!
Our library has a book store where they sell their extra books and I’ve actually bought several that were signed. Even a couple by Stephen King and Dean Koontz! Most are hard back and only a few dollars apiece.
I’m keeping an eye on All Fall Down. May be grabbing it soon.
My Sunday Post – http://fuonlyknew.com/2015/02/01/whats-new-on-my-bookshelf-95-and-the-sunday-post/
When I have been at BEA a lot of librarians were getting books signed for their libraries. Maybe for fundraisers?
