The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
I have decided to try to participate in all of their memes with only one post…thus The Sunday Post – Stacking the Shelves.

I got a lot of books this week. To make up for last week’s pathetic haul, I guess. I got The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen at a library book sale. It’s a used book, but hey, it was only a dollar… I got Renegade by J.A. Souders brand new and signed at Dollar Tree for a dollar too.

Alexandra Monir stopped by at my Barnes & Noble so of course I had to go and buy Suspicion. I also brought my copies of Timeless and Timekeeper from home to get signed. And because Kiera Cass is stopping by that same Barnes & Noble on Sunday, I had to get The Elite and The One. I got them off of BN.com for about $11 each. 🙂

Last Week on Paging Serenity:

This Week on Paging Serenity:

  • Investigated
  • Waiting on Wednesday
  • Thoughtful?
  • Review ?

I’m really stressed out because of my really annoying AP Lang test next week, so that’s probably why I ended up with so many books. Shopping really is therapeutic… when it’s not buying clothes. 🙂

On the other hand, Alexandra Bracken shared the cover of Through the Dark, a compilation of all the Darkest Minds novellas as well as a sneak peak of the newest one in her newsletter. And all I have to say is I cannot wait for October to hold that book in my hands. It looks gorgeous. I need it NOW! Because if it isn’t already obvious, The Darkest Minds just happens to be one my favorite series…

How was your week?
Enjoy your books! And Happy Mother’s Day!

  1. So many signed books in your future! I have never read the Selection series, but I have a couple IRL friends that love it and have already finished The Heir. I’ve been wondering if I should pick them up, but the waiting list at my library is outrageous. So I might wait.

  2. I haven’t decided if I’m going to read The Heir by Kiera Cass yet. I didn’t “love” the first three in the series, but part of me is longing to read it. Does that make since?

  3. I love your comments about Maximum Ride. I have to admit I’ve read none of that series. I haven’t enjoyed JP’s work for a while though occasionally will pick up something to pass the time. It seems he’s going for quantity over quality. On one hand I like that he seems to be fostering new authors before sending them out on their own but I do wonder if he’s just putting his name to all of these books and plays little part in their development?!
