QOTD: How was your reading in July?⁣ ⁣ Mine was as QOTD: How was your reading in July?⁣
⁣
Mine was as inconsistent as ever.⁣
⁣
I just wasn’t really in the mood to read so I didn’t spend a lot of time reading. 🤷🏻‍♀️⁣
⁣
On the bright side, I found some new favorites - I enjoyed Daggermouth and I’m still thinking about The Winged Game nearly a whole month after I read it.⁣
⁣
Honestly, I might need to bump up my rating for The Winged Game. I’ve been craving a reread (already) so I feel like it deserves more than the 4 stars I gave it initially.⁣
⁣
Do you ever decide to change ratings afterwards?⁣

QOTD: Do you prefer to binge read series or space QOTD: Do you prefer to binge read series or space each book out?⁣
⁣
I generally prefer to binge read because I have a terrible memory.⁣
⁣
And I mean terrible.⁣
⁣
Shield of Sparrows was one of my favorite books last year and I barely remember the characters name and what happened.⁣
⁣
So I’ve purposely been procrastinating on reading Rites of the Starling - I pre-ordered it, but I’m planning on waiting close to the release of Seven and the Swift to read it.⁣
⁣
That way I can save time by saving myself the need to reread Shield of Sparrows multiple times.⁣
⁣
Are there any sequels you’re procrastinating on reading?⁣

How often do you visit the library? I haven't rea How often do you visit the library?

I haven't really had a chance to visit mine lately since their summer hours either conflict with my work schedule or the weather refuses to cooperate.

But I have been making use of these hold lockers. It's been so nice to be able to pick up my physical holds whenever I can swing by.
Thank you @entangledteen for sending me these two Thank you @entangledteen for sending me these two ARCs! I can’t wait to read them!⁣

What’s the last book you hauled?⁣
⁣
Books included in this package are advanced reader’s copies of:⁣
⁣
📣 The Killing Rules by Bree Despain⁣
⁣
☠️ Gingerbread Bones by Lindsay Lovise⁣
⁣
They’re both horror romance novels that are being published on August 4th.⁣

QOTD: Are you looking forward to any upcoming rele QOTD: Are you looking forward to any upcoming releases?⁣
⁣
I'm really excited for Dangerous Impulses, the next book in The Naturals series.⁣
⁣
But also a little scared. 😅⁣
⁣
On one hand, I miss the characters so much I’m thinking of rereading the series now, even though I have so many reading deadlines coming up.⁣
⁣
On the other, it’s also been years since the original books were published - I first read the completed series in August 2018 (yes, I loved it so much I can remeber when and where I read it) so I’m a little nervous it won’t feel the same.⁣
⁣
I’m planning to reread the books in late October, right before Dangerous Impulses is released in November, so this reread might have to wait.⁣
⁣
Do you plan out your reading and have a general schedule?⁣

QOTD: How has your 2026 been going?⁣ ⁣ I’m on trac QOTD: How has your 2026 been going?⁣
⁣
I’m on track with my general goal of reading 70 books and I’ve been (mostly) on top of my reading journal but I’m a little behind when it comes to all the others. 😅⁣
⁣
I still haven’t made much progress on my TBRs and my book buying budget is about to go out the window.⁣
⁣
Oops.⁣

QOTD: Do you reread books?⁣ ⁣ I do, but usually ju QOTD: Do you reread books?⁣
⁣
I do, but usually just my favorites.⁣
⁣
But I’ll also reread books if I’m planning to read their sequels soon (I have a terrible memory 😅).⁣
⁣
I’m thinking of rereading Daughter of the Pirate Queen and Daughter of the Siren Queen in order to read the newer book, Vengeance of the Pirate Queen.⁣
⁣
On one hand, I feel like the first two books work well as a duology. On the other, I’m curious to see where the 3rd one goes.⁣
⁣
Do you ever intentionally not finish a series? How do you feel about new sequels coming out years after a series is presumed to be completed?⁣
