The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
I have decided to try to participate in all of their memes with only one post…thus The Sunday Post – Stacking the Shelves.

It’s never a good thing when BookOutlet has a promotion. That’s all I have to say.

I learned quite a bit this week. I need to start scheduling posts or vacations will be filled with anxiety. Two, I still suck at commenting and commenting back. Three, even though I’m on summer vacation, it feels like I have just as much work, if not more, as I did when I actually had school. Thanks mom.

In other news, WordPress is annoying me. First it breaks down on me and won’t let me type apostrophes. Second, my thumbnails are all wacko right now. Probably half my own fault but come on! And thirdly, it keeps telling me I have to update a plugin but it won’t tell me which one. Sigh.

Also, don’t forget, I’m trying to run a pen pal program for book people. International peeps might be allowed if other people are willing to mail letters (or postcards) to you. You can get more details and sign up here!

Enjoy your books and have a great weekend!
Oh, and Happy Fourth of July to all my fellow Americans!

  1. I missed out on the Book Outlet coupon, but I do have one from my last order. I have a full cart on the website, too. I love Book Outlet! Enjoy your new books and try to relax a bit on your summer vacation!

  2. I ALMOST broke my book-buying ban for that “Here’s $5 from us. We’re evil.” promotion. I still did end up breaking it, but that’s not the point. I haven’t heard of any of these, but Parallel looks like a fun read. Enjoy your books and your vacation!

  3. I use WordPress and mostly like it but have actually had some issues today. I still don’t fully understand what they’ve been but my host said it was my theme and I haven’t heard back from the theme developers. I’ve managed to reinstall my theme though… so I’m hoping it doesn’t break again.

On the book front, I like the sound of So Close to You!

  4. Scheduling posts and commenting back are things it’s taken me years to get right and it just still isn’t happening LOL WordPress has been playing up for a few people I have heard loads of people complaining about it. I use blogspot so am not used to WordPress and its pro’s and con’s. Have a great week.

  5. I checked out your post on vacation reading. I think there is always time to read on vacation. Of course it depends on whether you are doing something else at the time, or have those extended family obligations. But I always find time.

Of course I prefer e-books so have a great love of my Kindle and the ability to buy a new book wherever I am and even in the middle of the night.

  6. Awesome week!!! Looks like it’s been productive. I love your little owl adorable. I’ve actually only ordered from Book Outlet a few times but I’m a huge fan of it now. Thanks so much for sharing. I hope you enjoy your new books. Have a great week. My Sunday Post

  7. Both those books sounds really good. So Close To You sounds like a great read, I hope it can pull of the synopsis.
As far as you issue with wordpress, I would start by disabling all the plug-ins one by one to see if one of them is conflicting. It is usually a plug-in. I know that is time consuming, but so is having issues.
