QOTD: How was your September?⁣
⁣
It was a pretty decent month for me.⁣
⁣
September was a bit of a reset month after getting back from vacation.⁣
⁣
And I think I’m finally through with the worst of my reading slump.⁣
⁣
Are you looking forward to anything in October?⁣

Did you read any good books in September?

I think my reading slump might finally be over. I hope.

Because I'm over juggling reading 3 books at once. It makes updating the trackers in my reading journal so much more annoying.

I have to be a lot more careful when I'm not reading consistently. 😅

How many books did you read in September?

QOTD: What book are you ending the month with?⁣
⁣
I’m desperately trying to finish Vow of Eternal Night in the next 10 hours. I started it last month in the middle of my reading slump.⁣
⁣
And now that I think I’ve recovered, I want to finish it (or DNF it) so I can start October off fresh.⁣
⁣
I only have about 134 pages left so it should be doable… right?⁣
⁣
Are you trying to squeeze any books in today?⁣

Do you read novellas?

I don't read too many but they can be a good reset when I'm in a slump.

Plus, I'm slowly working my way through all of Ali Hazelwood’s backlist.

It's just a little funny that it took me longer to pick out a color than actually writing my thoughts down in my reading journal. There's just not much to say when the story is so short.

Do you have any favorite novellas?

QOTD: What’s on your autumn TBR?⁣
⁣
I have a couple, mostly some NetGalley reads I need to get to.⁣
⁣
But I’m really hoping to (finally) read An Enchantment of Ravens.⁣
⁣
It’s on my fall TBR every year, and every year I ignore the seasonal TBR I put together and end up reading other books. 😅⁣
⁣
Do you like to make TBRs?⁣

QOTD: Do you like watching adaptations?⁣
⁣
I don’t mind them, but I rarely watch them, if I’m honest.⁣
⁣
To be fair, I don’t watch a whole lot of TV or movies in general. And when I do, it’s usually reruns of old favorites as background noise while I’m working. 😅⁣
⁣
But I’m debating if I should watch The Love Hypothesis.⁣
⁣
I read it earlier this year and enjoyed it! It’s not my favorite romance, or even my favorite of Ali’s books (Deep End still holds that title), but it was a solid read.⁣
⁣
I’m just really interested to see how that story will translate to TV and what changes they made, if any, to better fit the new format.⁣
⁣
Are you looking forward to any adaptations?⁣

Do you ever buy movie/TV tie in editions of books?

I usually don't, especially since they're usually more expensive than the normal edition. 😅

QOTD: Do you get FOMO for books?⁣
⁣
I thought I outgrew it in college, and that might be true for social settings, but I definitely still get it when it comes to books.⁣
⁣
Whether it’s pre-order incentives or limited exclusive editions, it’s so hard for me to resist pre-ordering.⁣
⁣
Which is an issue since I rarely actually read the books I pre-order. 😅⁣
⁣
The marketing around “first print run only” is so good at making me panic buy books. But after Iron Flame, I’m a little more jaded about those editions, especially after the Wing & Claw editions came out.⁣
⁣
So I’m still debating if I should pre-order Threshing Day.⁣
⁣
On one hand, I really love Fourth Wing. On the other, I still have to read my pre-ordered copy of Onyx Storm…⁣
⁣
Are you looking forward to any upcoming releases?⁣
