Weekly Recap – It’s the Start of Something New

weekly-recap

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.

I have decided to try to participate in all of their memes with only one post…thus Weekly Recap. I used to call this feature The Sunday Post – Stacking the Shelves but that title was too long…

Life

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful 2015 and here’s to an even better 2016. 🙂

I’m currently enjoying the last few days of my winter break before I have to go back to hell. Oh, did I say hell? I meant school. I rediscovered how fun and interesting Twiter is. Which is not good for my new years resolution on procrastinating less.

In other news, it’s been 10 years since Troy and Gabriella met on NYE on High School Musical. Where has my childhood gone?

Also, I’m determined to make 2016 a year of new friends after I lost contact with a lot of my old ones last year. (Woah, I still can’t believe 2015 is over). So if you wanna be friends just hit me up. Yes, I’m that lonely and desperate. Lol. 😀

BOOK HAUL

No books. 🙁 I started to calculate how much I spent on books in 2015 and I gave up halfway through because the numbers were scary. And yet, I’m sitting here still debating whether or not I should preorder Truthwitch and Passenger. Someone stop me, please.

    • At this point I’m just getting closer and closer to “hell”. I just need to make it to the end of the deadline for the preorder incentive. Then it’ll be time to worry about preordering other books. Or so I tell myself…

Thanks for stopping by Daniela! 🙂

  1. Happy New Year! It’s my first time joining the Sunday Post so I’m super excited to see all these posts!

How brave of you to start counting how much you spend on books in 2015.. I’m definitely not brave enough to do that! LOL!! But I always try to remember that life is way too short.. If buying books makes you happy.. Just do it!! 😉

    • Happy New Year to you to and welcome to this awesome meme!

It wasn’t really brave since I chickened out and stopped halfway. Lol. My problem is buying books makes me happy, but so does having a full wallet so I’m kind of always stuck in the middle. 🙁

Thanks for stopping by Maureen! 🙂

    • Happy New Year to you too!

Limiting the number of books is a good idea! I’m trying to give myself a budget to stick to but we’ll see how that goes. Once a bookstore announces it’s having a sale, I’m screwed.

Thanks for stopping by Heather! 🙂

    • I’m going to try to use the library more than the bookstore but buying books is just sooo tempting. Lol. I’m doomed too!

Thanks for stopping by Tiffany! 🙂

    • I know right? It doesn’t feel like it’s been that long but according to Google, High School Musical came out January 2006.

Thanks for stopping by Molly! 🙂

  2. I miss parts of school and definitely not other parts of it. Lol! I hope it starts off well! I have so many books I have yet to read from last and yet, like you, I will still be getting new releases. Hopefully I’ll get some catching up in this month. Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous week!
