5 Authors I’ve Read for the First Time in 2016

New to me authors in 2016

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish.

Richelle Mead

I’ve heard of her for a while, but I didn’t read Vampire Academy until early this year. And when I did I was hooked. I cannot believe it took me so long to read that series.

Markus Zusak

I had no idea why people loved The Book Thief so much until I read it myself. It was so good that I read and finished it while I was a Disney World.

Morgan Matson

I’ve heard of her books, but haven’t personally read any of them before learning that she would be coming to my local Barnes and Noble. Granted, the only book of hers I’ve read so far is Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour. But I’m excited to read Secont Chance Summe and The Unexpected Everything.

Destiny Soria

I was lucky enough to have been approved to read Iron Cast, her debut early on NetGalley and I really enjoyed reading it. It is defintiely one of the more unique reads I’ve read this year and cannot wait to read more books written by Destiny.

Jan Gangsei

I was bored one day and decided to read Zero Day on a whim. I wasn’t expecting much, I just wanted to pass time, but I was pleasantly surprised. I’m glad I decided to read and now have a lot more books to add to my TBR pile.

Are any of these authors new to you?

  1. Richelle Mead! I loved the VA series. It was so addicting. Morgan Matson is one of my favorites. Her books are fantastic. I really really want to read Iron Cast. I’ve heard nothing but good things about it!
