I (actually, the blog) have been nominated for the Liebster Award by Em at The YA Book Butterfly! (Thank you so, so much Em!)
Q stands for Em’s question, while A stands for my answer.
Want more info on the Liebster Award? Click here.
The rules are simple.
- Link back to the blogger/blog that nominated you
- Answer the questions posed by the blogger who nominated you
- Nominate ten other bloggers who have less than 200 followers and tell them
- Create a set of questions for those nominees to answer
Q stands for Em’s question, while A stands for my answer.
Q: Why did you start to blog?
A: Honestly, for a lot of reasons, mainly because I was running out of books to read and missing interacting with other humans (my brother doesn’t really count – sometimes he’s a monster) because of Hurricane Sandy. Thankfully, unlike a lot of people in my town, I had power during the whole ordeal minus two seconds. The fact that Halloween was canceled was the tip of the iceberg. But, I also wanted to spread my love of reading and to get book recommendations, things my friends in real life (not that this isn’t real) would not really appreciate or could really help me out with.
Q: Favorite book to movie?
A: Sigh, this is a hard question (but at least it’s not “what is your favorite book?”). I happen to like a couple of book to movie adaptions, most of being from the Harry Potter series. Aw, who am I kidding, the Harry Potter series are my favorite book to movies. Don’t ask me to pick one, because that is impossible.
Q: Favorite debut book?
A: Whoops spoke too soon. Ummm, does Divergent by Veronica Roth count as a debut? (I’m pretty sure it is her debut novel). If it doesn’t count, my favorite debuts (at the moment) are SIA by Josh Grayson and Unbreathable by Hafsah Laziaf. Both aren’t published yet. Sia comes out on November 20th and Unbreathable comes out on October 29th.
Q: Favorite thing about blogging?
A: Oohhh, this one is easy compared to the last two. The best thing about blogging is being able to meet and interact with people with share your love of books and are willing to help you share that love with others. Being about to spread the love comes in at a close second.
Q: Favorite spot to read?
A: On my rocking chair or bed. But truthfully, I could care less about where I read as long as the book I’m reading is a good one.
My nominees (in no particular order):
- Zoë’s Book Blog
- In Italics
- Reading is My Treasure
- Lit Up Review
- Forever Literary
- Blue Eyed Bibliophile
- Flip That Page
I know I’m supposed to nominate ten blogs, but seven is the best I can do right now. Think of it this way, if I could, I would nominate the blog that nominated me, plus the other two nominees (Read Books and Live Green and Just Another Teen Reading), but doing so would seem a bit redundant.
My questions:
- What inspired you to start a blog?
- How do you balance blogging and school?
- What book are you looking forward to reading the most?
- Do you have any book recommendations for me or other people?
- If you could be any character from a book, who would you be and why?
