Before we start, I know, I know. I skipped a few days. (I think they were Day 3 & 4). But I couldn’t help it. I was just swarmed with school work. The only good thing about the end of the school year is that you are getting closer and closer to summer. Other than that it’s not fun. At all. Especially if you are in high school. Teachers are just rushing to make sure they cover everything before finals. And you have to keep up with them if you want a good grade.
Anyways… I’m technically not supposed to be typing this post. I’m supposed to be doing homework and studying, but I thought I deserved a break.
Keeping it Fresh
Umm, I don’t really have much to say about this topic, as I’ve only been really blogging for a few months. I guess one thing I do is every now and then I’ll switch things up. I’ll post things on days that I don’t usually post them. I’ve been thinking of new features, but those haven’t debuted yet. They will be announced once I finish all this work. I have recently done a redesign. In fact, when it comes to the design aspect of the blog, things are constantly changing. I’m working on making new graphic, not that I had any before.
If you have any ideas, please leave them in the comments. I really could use the help.
Children’s Literature
Now this topic is one I can talk a lot about it. Especially since to some people, (cough, my parents) I am still considered a kid. Children’s Literature consists of everything from picture books to YA. If I posted all my favorite books, this post would be miles and miles long. There are just too many to count. But, I can tell you why I love Children’s Lit so much.
I love Children’s Literature because…
  • Well, like I stated before, I’m a high school student. That makes YA the appropriate genre for me to read. In YA, there are no chances that I would happen to read something I’m not supposed to like graphic scenes. I must protect my innocent eyes!
  • So many things happen in YA books. There is drama, romance, fighting, laughing, and more. YA and middle school books are just so interesting to read.
  • You never know what can happen. Okay, maybe this applies to all books, but since I usually only read YA…
  • So here’s one that kind of applies to reading in general. It provides an escape from reality.
  • There are so many other reasons why, but I  have to go back to doing school work. Maybe I’ll continue this post later…
What about you?
I would love to hear what you do to keep your blog fresh (and where you find the time to blog…)
And why you enjoy reading Children’s Lit.

  1. I have always loved children’s and ya, but technically, my reading should have grown up with me and it really didn’t. I am a teacher librarian at an elementary school so I get to read and share children’s lit every week. Perfect job. I love YA too, so I read that for fun also and blog about it on richincolor.com. I listed some of my favorites here: http://readingtl.blogspot.com/2013/06/armchair-bea-childrens-literature.html Have a great weekend!

    • I just got a new idea for a feature. Thank you for asking and stopping by.

p.s. Some great books are the first books in the series that are at the bottom of my long sidebar.

    • Hmm, that’s a great idea. But I think I’ll steer clear of fashion and beauty. After all, I’m told I wear old lady clothes…

      Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

  2. Great post I am also a new blogger, It is so hard trying to keep up with regular posts, working on blog designs, life and reading, but I am loving every minute of it.
