Weekly Recap – Baby are you down, down, down, down, down?

weekly-recap

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.

I have decided to try to participate in all of their memes with only one post…thus Weekly Recap. I used to call this feature The Sunday Post – Stacking the Shelves but that title was too long…

Life

Yes, I used the lyrics to Jay Sean’s Down. I thought it was appropriate given that I was pretty much saying that line to my blog for half the week. This blog was down for a while due to server issues which is why nothing was really published. Hey, at least this time I have a valid excuse for my inactivity. I wanted to draft and write posts, I really did, but it was impossible since I couldn’t get into WordPress. Thankfully, my host worked hard and solved the problem after a few days and hopefully you can see this post and my blog is not down again.

In other news, I have a long weekend this week thanks to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. 🙂 That means not only will I be able to catch up on TV shows much needed sleep, but I will also hopefully have time to schedule posts that are not part of memes. Hopefully, I actually do that and don’t procrastinate…

Speaking of TV shows, how did you guys feel about The Shadowhunters premiere. I didn’t watch it (because my parents are cheap so no cable) but I heard mixed things. As long as its better than the movie, which, let’s face it, wasn’t the best adaption, but was still nowhere as bad as the train wreck that is known as Percy Jackson, I’m willing to give it a try.

BOOK HAUL

No books. Which sadly is kind of a good thing. I’m really busy with school (and for some reason procrastinating) that I have absolutly no time to read. ?

Last Week on Paging Serenity:

Nothing. LOL.

This Week on Paging Serenity:

  • Investigated
  • New Feature?
  • Review – Their Fractured Light by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner

How was your week?
Enjoy your books!

  1. I’m so sorry your server was down! But everything must be working fine now since I am commenting on this post. Haha!

I have not watched the Shadowhunters premiere. I didn’t hear the best things, but I believe people, for the most part, thought it was better than the movie. That’s a plus.

My week was alright. Just work, work and more work. Super tiring. Plus, I don’t get a long weekend. :/ I miss school in that aspect. LOL. I hope you get some reading in this weekend! Even if it is just a little bit.

  2. I’m happy to say I can ignore everything Shadowhunter related. I really didn’t enjoy the first book and thus never read the rest; weirdly enough I did like the movie (on its own, not as an adaptation). So, I can’t help you out in that regard.

It’s always a bad week when there’s no new books, luckily we booklovers usually have a bunch hanging out at the house that still need to be read.

    Have a great week!

  3. Oh it’s so frustrating to have blog issues! I’ve dealt with outages, but thankfully they weren’t very long, but I hated that helpless feeling! I don’t really watch TV, so I didn’t even know Shadowhunters premiered. Oops. I did like the books though, so maybe I should give the show a chance.

Hope you have a good week!

  4. I haven’t seen the Shadowhunters series yet. I really want to though. I really loved the book series, and although the movie wasn’t what I hoped it would be, I heard some great stuff about this new tv series. But I really don’t have time for it… so maybe it is better if I don’t watch it! LOL!
Sorry to hear about your server problems.. that really sucks. Your blog looks good now 😉
    Have a great week!
