The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.
I have decided to try to participate in all of their memes with only one post…thus
The Sunday Post – Stacking the Shelves.

BOOK HAUL:

So last week I had a pretty good haul.
This week got even better.

Won from the Library:
(If you read books for their summer reading program, you get books.)

Cover of Thirteen Reasons Why

Thirteen Reasons Why
by Jay Asher

&

Cover of Between Shades of Gray

Between Shades of Gray

by Ruta Sepetys
Brought some e-books too:

Cover of Grasping at Eternity

Grasping at Eternity
by Karen Ann Hooper

&

Cover of Taking Back Forever
by Karen Ann Hooper

Last Week on Icy Cold Reads:

This Week on Icy Cold Reads:

  • Investigated
  • Review
  • Waiting on Wednesday
  • Something?
  • August Wrap Up?
Despite a better than normal haul, I was a bit frustrated and pissed this week.
For starters, my mom won’t let me see City of Bones this week.
And then a bunch of people started comparing it to Twilight.
AND saying how it was a Twilight rip-off.
Sigh.
People can be/are so ignorant.
I found this post on Tumblr and I couldn’t agree with it more.

Oh, and there is the fact that August is flying by.
Which means that school starts soon. 🙁

How was your week?
What did you get?
Leave a comment and I’ll try to visit.
Happy reading!

Emily

  1. Between Shades of Grey is a book that most people love but I still haven’t tried it out. I need to though because I’ve heard the author’s writing is beautiful.
I hope you enjoy your lovely books! 🙂

    Nick – My Haul

    • Hmm, that’s interesting. I read both of them and I liked Thirteen Reason Why better. But then again it has been a long time since I read it… Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

  2. I haven’t seen the movie, but I’m not sure if I will. Not because people compare it to Twilight, but because I have no one to see it with! haha. Oh, but yay for winning those two books from the library! That’s a pretty good program. Hope you enjoy them 🙂

    • I’m not sure if I’ll see the movie either, for the same reason. The day my friends are planning to go, I’m supposed to be on vacation… Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
