I decided to change things up and try out monthly recaps instead of weekly ones, which I’m now calling ‘State of the Blog’. I’m linking this one up to two memes: Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews and The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer. 🙂
Looking Back on March
These last few months had been flying by so fast, it feels like I can’t blink or I’ll miss something. This month I sadly failed to meet any of the goals I set in my last State of the Blog. That being said, I was super busy and had to take a short hiatus. On the bright side, I did visit Disney World with the rest of my graduating class and made some memories I hope I’ll never forget.

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
I brought this gorgeous 10th Annivery Edition at the Markus Zusak signing at my local Barnes & Noble. I still can’t get over how pretty this edition is. I like it a lot more than the original cover, if I’m being completely honest.

Goals
I have the same goals as I did for March since I didn’t quite meet any of them. 🙁 I want to comment and interact more with the readers of this blog and other bloggers (and book lovers) around the internet. I want to write more quality posts and I also want to do some general housekeeping around the blog.

Last Words
So that’s about it for the State of the Blog of March. Here’s to an awesome April! (Try saying those last three words three times fast.)
How was your March?
What are you looking forwards to in April?
Our school band went to Disney World my senior year for a music competition. I enjoyed it so much (except for the girl who’d already been EIGHT times taking over my group) and I want to go back as an adult and have plenty of time to enjoy it.
I’m jealous! My school orchestra went to Six Flags for a competition. Which would be great except I hate roller coasters…
Disney is quite an adventure!! Hope April is as good!
Omg yes, the anniversary edition of The Book Thief is precious!! _<
I love the design of your blog by the way, that penguin is the cutest 🙂
Aw thank you Carla! 🙂
I love the Book Thief! Great books. I hope you love them all 🙂
I hope you had a great time at Disney World. We are planning a family trip there in October.
I haven’t read the Book Thief but I have see the movie and really enjoyed it. It is one of those books that I really need to read, but just haven’t gotten to it yet.
I hope you get all of our wish list for April done!
I hope you have fun in Disney, Laura!
The Book Thief is definitely worth a read. I love the way it was written. 🙂
Sometimes it is good to have a bit of a break. You will end up getting around to your goals. And hey, Disney World. I’d push back blogging goals for that too, haha.
Don’t worry too much about your March goals – they’ll be there when you get a chance!
I’ve not read The Book Thief and not sure I’ll ever do so now after seeing the movie…
Oh I agree-the new cover on The Book Thief is awesome! Hope you have an amazing April!
oh I’m loving this new trend of white covers. They are so cute.
I can relate to your goals! socialize and write more! but wait… not sure about the last one. Is there such thing as “housekeeping” around the blog? is that even a word?? Sounds scary :):):)
Thank god your blog looks perfect. I hope you don;t have to do a lot of that whatever it is ;-P
Housekeeping is definitely scary for me. I’ve always associated it with cleaning up the blog (especially the sidebar) and going through and editing (and maybe deleting) old posts.
Thanks for stopping by Daniela! 🙂
Very jealous you got to go to Disney World! I’ve always wanted to go there. I definitely feel you on the need for some changes. I’ve been reevaluating my own blog as well. Sometimes the same thing over and over again just gets dull!
Great update!

Disney is my favorite place on Earth. Just makes your worries go away the second you step in! That edition of The Book Thief is gorgeous!
