Soo… I was on Twitter (like I usually am nowadays…) when I found this. Kaitlin @ Reading is My Treasure came up with this really cool idea. It’s basically a bucket list for blogging and blogging related stuff. I thought it was interesting (and fun) so I decided to participate (duh). Anyways… you can find out more about by going to this post.
On with the list… (They may be numbered, but they are in no particular order.) All goals are to be completed before this blog turns two.
Blog:
- Make my own graphics for the memes I participate in.
- Clean up the sidebar
- Make a new header
- Get a drop down menu
- Update the review archives (that currently are not made public because #4 is not completed…)
- Schedule posts ahead of time
- Make time to blog
Numbers (Yes! I can count):
- Reach 100 Bloglovin’ followers
Reach 85 Twitter followersNew goal is 100- Reach 100 GFC followers (if GFC is still alive…)
- Get 10 email subscribers
- GET MORE FOLLOWERS!
Yes, after blogging for almost a year, I have yet to reach 100 followers in any way. That brings us to…
Social:
- Make new friends
- Hang out more on social media (cough, Twitter)
- Meet new people in the great, big, blogosphere
- Socialize more in general
- Comment on more blogs
- Reply to comments
Reading & Reviewing:
- Finish at least one book each week
- Have a review to post (at least one every other week)
Other:
- Move to WordPress?
- Go to an author/blogger/book event
- Join a regional blogger group. (Is there even one for the Northeast/East Coast?)
Oh! I almost forgot the most important goal! HAVE FUN!!!!!
So that’s about it. Stuff may change later because some goals might be too out of reach while others not nearly enough. If I complete some of this stuff, I might host a giveaway… so if you guys do a good job of reminding me of this stuff (since I’ll probably forget because school starts again next week….) you guys might get a chance to win something… Just saying.
What are your goals?
Hi EMZ 🙂 I stumbled across your blog at Readers Wonderland’s blog and decided to stop by!
I would love to go to an author event/ signing because I’ve never been to one 🙁 I hope you complete your bucket list!
New GFC and Bloglovin follower!
Janina @ Synchronized Reading
I’ve never really been to an author even either. And I really hope I can finish the list. Thank you so much for stopping by and following! 😀
Great list! I need to do all the social things as well. I post on my blog every day but suck at socialising!!
Kate @ Reading Under the Willow Tree
I suck at socializing and I don’t even post everyday… Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
It is hard to post often.. But I love your blogger bucket list! What a great idea! I followed you via twitter, liked you on FB, and I’m following you on email… Hope that helps with your goals! 🙂
Posting often is really hard, especially when I have school… Aw, thank you so much for following! That definitely helps with my goals a lot! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Being a blogger sure is hard work. One thing I was never able to do was schedule posts ahead of time. I’m hopeless when it comes to this. I usually post the reviews as I write them, so I have periods when I don’t post anything for a long time, and weeks when I post 3 or 4 times. But things have started to change since I asked a friend to become my blogging partner and help me. 🙂
I’m following you via GFC and Bloglovin’. I’m sure you’ll reach your goals before your blog turns two. 🙂

Being a blogger definitely involves a lot of hard work. I have trouble scheduling posts too. I try to only post one post everyday – that’s the only way I can schedule posts. All the extra posts get scheduled! I wish I had the guts to ask for help, but right now, I’m too possessive about the blog (and I have control issues…)Thank you so much for stopping by and following! 🙂
A blog partner can really help. But it has to be someone special, someone you trust, and someone who has similar tastes and a similar way of doing things… I like my blog posts to look the same, so my blogging partner formats them the way I do. I wouldn’t have opted for a partner if I hadn’t met my friend and realized we’re very much alike. 🙂
You’re really lucky you found someone like that! But for now, I’m all alone… all my friends either don’t really read that much or have blogs of their own.
Nice list, I love how you divided it into different categories :)!
Mel@thedailyprophecy.
Looks like a great list (and definitely achievable)! I am always trying to have my own little goals, and so I actually work on doing a lot of these things all the time! The one area I struggle on is Twitter. I just am not good at using it, which is horrible since it is such an awesome tool for socializing and getting to know other bloggers. Someday I’ll fix that… Someday….
I kind of suck at using Twitter too. And when I do use it, I end up wasting a lot of time… Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
You are totally not alone in your follower concerns. I’ve been blogging for over a year, and while I have almost 200 twitter followers, I only have 50-something GFC followers. Quality of content and conversation matter a lot more, though, so don’t feel too bad about not having a ton of followers. But I just followed you with GFC and Bloglovin’ so I hope that helps. 🙂
Regional blogger groups can be so hard to find. I don’t know of any for the East Coast, but I wish you luck in finding one!
That’s true, about the content and conversation. At this point, I’m starting to think there isn’t a regional blogger group for the east… 🙁 Thank you so much for following and stopping by! 😀
It won’t help with a header but if you want an easy way to make images for your weekly features you can use the app “A Beautiful Mess”, my blogging partner Justine uses it for all of our features! I know it’s available for iPhone but it could be available on other devices too.
Hmm, I’ll definitely try it out. Do you know if it work without internet? Thanks for stopping by and for your help! 🙂
