Mission: Recommend – Heist Society + Graceling = ?

Posted September 6, 2013 by Emily in Mission: Recommend / 4 Comments

So a few weeks I posted the first Mission: Recommend post.
Today is Part 2, the other type.

Heist Society
        +
Graceling
      =
White Cat
by Ally Carter
by Kristin Cashore
by Holly Black

Explanation:

Heist Society is all about teenage thieves, and Graceling is set in a world where certain people have special abilities and are usually discriminated against because of them. Add all those elements together and you get White Cat, a book about people that live in a world where some people have special abilities, but because using those abilities is illegal, some of them have a knack at stealing…

What do you think?
Oh, and which part of Mission: Recommend do you prefer?
Part 1 or Part 2?

  1. Ohhh! I LOVED this part of Mission Recommend! I liked how you took two books and combined them to create a recommendation! I actually liked part 2 better because although Part one you recommended Grave Mercy if you loved Graceling (BOTH are books I ADORE!) for this feature I feel it really pinpointed what you like! You named two completely different books and came up with a great recommendation based off of them!
Now I’m definitely going to need to go get White Cat!! 🙂

    • I’m glad you liked this part. But Part 2 will definitely be rarer than Part 1 because it takes more time to come up with them. And yes, go get White Cat, I absolutely adored it!
