I can’t believe that today is the last day of 2015. It feels like its about time the new year came, yet it also feels like the year went by so fast. Does that make any sense? 2015 was an… interesting year for me. It’s kind of like a transitional year for me… kinda. In January, I (finally) changed the name of this blog from Icy Cold Reads (super original right?) to Paging Serenity (that’s better, I hope). With a name change comes a design change. This blog went through two design changes this year. Three, if you count changing the header a complete design change. I first changed the header to announce that the blog had a new name. Then in February, I changed the design around. I also tweaked it some more in August.
Besides tweaking the blog design (which I had so much fun doing), I started working on college applications in August. Way to end summer break with a bang. -__- In September, I began my senior year of high school. And I’m still trying to forget the summer I experienced a horrible blogging slump.
New Year Resolutions
I have mixed feelings about New Year Resolutions mainly because I have a penchant for making a few and only end up sticking to one (on a good year). That being said, hopefully publicizing some of my list will increase the pressure to actually meet these resolutions. We’ll see. It didn’t quite work out last year.
- Be more positive and stop complaining as much. Especially on Twitter.
- Stop wishing to be and acting like someone else.
- Be more enaged in the community whether it’s commenting, hanging out on social media, etc.
- SCHEDULE POSTS IN ADVANCE!!
- Go through and edit (and delete if I have to) old posts.
- Find a way to write fun reviews people will actually read. Lol.
- Make new friends and reconnect with old ones.
- Update my About page.
- Stay organized.
- Work on time management.
- Be happier and less stressed.
- Savor the moments. Remember everything.
- Read 52 books.
- Buy less books.
2016 will definitely be very interesting and eventful for me. It’ll mark a lot of landmarks in my life such as becoming an adult in the eyes of the US government (but not my mom’s), high school graduation, and going to college.
I hope you guys all had a wonderful 2015. If not, hopefully 2016 will be better! Thank you for sticking around through all the hiatuses I had to take this year. I can’t thank you guys enough and express how much it means to me to have your support. <3 Here's to making 2016 a great year!
What are your New Year Resolutions?
I think I also need to work on scheduling reviews, and my time management. I tend to procrastinate lately. I don’t know why. Good luck with your goals!
Procrastination is really killing my productivity right now. I really wish there was an easy cure for it. Perhaps a dose of motivation would work?
Thanks for stopping by Tiffany! 🙂
These are all wonderful resolutions! I might need to tweak mine that come out next week.
Aw thank you, Charlie! I’ve been seeing other people’s posts and I’m thinking about tweaking mine too.
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
