Bookish Costume – The Morganville Vampires

In honor of the trailer of the Morganville Vampires web series being released (and it’s October 27th premiere date), I decided to showcase some Eve and Claire costumes…

Eve

Eve Rosser

Eve is often described as a goth who sometimes takes it really far and dresses elaborately, like the right side of the picture. But she can dress causal too, as pictured on the left side. She has heavy boots and really into wearing gothic makeup, such as dark lipstick, eye liner, and powder. If you want to be Eve, just dress goth and wear a lot of goth like makeup. That’s pretty much it.

Claire

Claire Danvers

Unlike Eve, Claire is more of a causal dresser. Think typical high schooler / college kid. That’s pretty much Claire’s go to style. Claire is also known to have brown hair with red dyed tips.

What do you think?
What are you dressing up as for Halloween… or should I say who?

    • I think that’s a problem with dressing up as a book character in general. Even if you dress up as Eve, people are just going to assume you’re dressing up as a Goth and not Eve in particular. It’s kind of sad. Maybe bring a copy of the book along will help?

Thanks for stopping by Julie! 🙂

  1. You’ve got Eve down to pat, LOVE the purple lipstick and want Claire’s slip-ons. I’m not dressing up this year, whoo. I’m actually so excited that I’m not, haha, I’m staying in, not answering the door (like the mean person I am) and reading Dangerous Girls, my cousin will probably come up with her two little devils though, so damn cute. Can’t wait to watch the first episode! 😀

    • You don’t need to dress up. You can just wear what you normally wear and pass as any book character. You could probably pretend you’re Claire! I can’t wait to watch the first episode either… though I am a bit apprehensive. Squeezing a 15 book series into a tiny web series could not have been an easy task.
