Genre Fiction
Truthfully, I enjoy reading all types of fiction as long as it is some what age appropriate for me – which basically mean any Young Adult or Juvenile fiction books. Fantasy, realistic, complementary, science fiction whatever, you name it, I might like it. However, horror does not apply. Let’s just say, I learned from a young age that I like sleep without nightmares. Reading horror (or watching it) gives me the nightmares I despise. Between the types of fiction I do enjoy reading, I have no real preference among them. Sure, I might seem to read fantasy more often than realistic fiction, but that doesn’t mean I like one more than the other. As long as the book is able to provide me with an escape from MY reality, I probably would enjoy reading it.
Blogger Development
As for blogger development, I haven’t really done much for that. I’ve only really blogging for around 6 months. I’m also a high school student, and as much as it pains me to say this, blogging isn’t my greatest priority. It’s the thing I do when I have time. This blog is something that I keep to myself. Not many of my face to face friends know about it. I like being sort of the unseen blogger. Fame isn’t exactly what I’m looking for. When it comes to partnering with other bloggers, I tend to be a little cautious. I’m just afraid that if they do something horrible, I will have to deal with the consequences of being associated with that blogger. Asking a friend to help me has been a constant debate for me. I struggle with posting enough reviews (you can see my post about that at Discussed – Reviews). While I probably need all the help I can get, I enjoy the comfort that I don’t have to depend on others. I struggle with giving up control because I’m scared of what would happen if I did. What I really need help on, besides scheduling reviews, is publicity.
I love that Armchair BEA gets us out and about to see other blogs. I love to read YA and will be sure to stop by your blog again. It looks great especially considering that you haven’t been doing this for very long.

While blogging may not be a priority, you can always set easy, attainable goals that aren’t too time consuming. You could set up an auto-tweet widget (they already exist for Blogger) for when you post or set a goal of reading 5 books a month. I find that helps me have structured fun, if that makes any sense. Hmmm, that’s a good idea. Set small, attainable goals not big ones so that I won’t get discouraged and give up. My problem with goals is that sometimes they come with deadlines that I have a hard time reaching. Hmmm, now on to think of some goals…

Blogging can take up a lot of time, it really depends on you. Since you are a high school student, you may not have free time dedicated to keep up a blog. Don’t discount finding blog partners/team – a good team can make blogging so much easier and reduce the number of posts you would need to come up with. Keep it fun and have a great time doing it.

See, I would love if I could find a partner or something, but I would rather work on the blog in my free time than spend that time looking for a partner that I may never find. Plus, I’m not exactly known for approaching people to ask them if they are willing to help me out… We’ll see.
