I think this is my fourth? year doing Armchair BEA but I skipped last year so I’m a bit rusty. ? If you don’t know, Armchair BEA is a way for those of us who can’t make it to BEA to participate online. It’s really fun, I swear! And you get to meet so many awesome bloggers and discover some cool new blogs. ?
As you’re reading this, I’m probably (if it’s Wednesday the 31st) in New York City for the day to go to a publisher tour and Blogbound so I’ll be late commenting back and replying to comments. I’m not going to BEA though (hence why I’m doing Armchair BEA). ?
Anyways…
I am…
Hi! I’m Emily, but you can call me Emz (if you want, I really don’t care ?). As you can probably tell, I love emojis. Speaking of things I love…
I love…
Reading (duh), sleeping, eating, baking, traveling, and photography. Oh, and of course, blogging. I’m also a big fan of bookstagram (but I hate Instagram’s current algorithm – it’s horrible ?).
Currently…
I’m an American college student studying business (supply chain management and maybe marketing). I’m on break right now though (no summer sessions for this girl!) so hopefully I can finally get this blog back up and running; I just came back from a two-month hiatus. Which brings me to…
My summer plans…
Include planning enough blog posts ahead of time so I can go to school and blog (unlike last year) and tackling my 20 book summer tbr.
My favorite…
Book is… blah. I can’t choose. (Did you really expect me to?). But to fill the prompt, my favorite band at the moment is All Time Low. Mainly because their new album comes out on Friday and I have all their songs on repeat. If you have any favorite bands in the pop punk/rock genre let me know! I’m always looking for new music to listen to.
Yay for Penguins, and Boo for Insta’s new algorithm. Have an awesome ABE!
I love penguins! But Insta’s new algorithm is really killing me. It’s so bad.
Thanks for stopping by Meaghan! 🙂
Nice to meet you, and glad you are back.
Reading and baking are favorites of mine.
I am a retired business teacher…..enjoy your studies.
Have a fun week.
Elizabeth

Armchair BookExpo Introduction
Hi Elizabeth! It’s nice to meet you as well. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
What’s your favorite thing to bake?
Hey Emily! Lovely introduction post! Happy to *meet* you! It looks like we have a lot of the same hobbies and interests! I graduated with a degree in business and marketing, I do photography on the side, and I also love snacks and All Time Low! 🙂
It’s so nice to meet you Erica! 🙂 It seems like we have a lot in common. How do you feel about All Time Low’s newest music? (I would talk about books but ATL is all I can think about at the moment ?).
“Therapy” is my all time favorite song by them. I’m digging “Good Times” as well! Can’t wait to hear more from the new album!
I love “Therapy” too! But I think “Weightless” is my favorite song of theirs. “Good Times” is so good but I can’t help but feel a bit sad. It’s like they’re saying goodbye to an era that I loved but the future looks (and sounds) bright.
Oh, Weightless is a great one!!
Love the intro! Hope you have a great time with Armchair!

Thanks for stopping by Steph! I hope you have with Armchair BEA as well! 🙂
Scheduled posts are a godsend for students and busy schedules. I also love photography. You can see mine on Flickr . I didn’t include that in my introductory links because I don’t really use it for book blogging.
Introductions and Best Practices
Your pictures are so beautiful! ? How do you edit your pictures (if you edit them)?
Thanks for stopping by Sarah! 🙂
I use Aperture, a program Apple used to sell but no longer does. For more complicated work, say for making my feature images on my blog, I use Pixelmator.
Hi Emily! Planning your blog posts ahead of time for school sounds like a great idea! And good luck with your TBR pile! Mine never seems to stop growing, but that way I’ll never run out of anything to read so guess it’s a good thing. ha!
My TBR never seems to stop growing either. Like you said it’s a good thing, but mine is so out of control and disorganized; I just keep adding and never take any off. ?
Thanks for stopping by Terri! 🙂
There’s no way I could ever pick one favorite book! I’m always amazed at people who can. Have fun at Blogbound!!
I’m always amazed to hear favorite books as well! I cannot just pick one. Or two. Or three…
Thanks for stopping by Lory! 🙂
Just passing through to say Happy Armchair Book Expo!
Happy Armchair BEA to you too Katie! 🙂
I tried to pick one book for my intro, but then the list got to be like my TBR and I had to stop. Have a wonderful Armchair Book Expo week.
Haha I had that problem too so I just decided to forget about it. Too much pressure!
Thanks for stopping by Brenda! 🙂
I didn’t try to pick one book given that I’m currently reading 3 books.
Oh that’s impressive! I can’t read more than two books at once – I have a horrible plot memory so I always end up getting confused about what happens in each book. ?
Thanks for stopping by Donna! 🙂
PURPLE!! Love your blog! Purple is one of my favorite colors. And welcome to BEA!! This is my first year joining in the fun.
Armchair BEA Cafinated Reads Intro
Purple is one of my favorite colors too! It’s such a pretty color. I hope you have a great time with Armchair BEA! I always have the years when I’ve participated. 🙂
I hope you have a good summer break!
Have a great Armchair Book Expo!
Thanks for stopping by Chrissy! 🙂
