A to Z Survey

Okay, so I’ve been seeing the A to Z Survey, created by Jamie at The Perpetual Page- Turner. Sound interesting? You can find out more about it by clicking here. Anyways, I haven’t done a survey on the blog yet, and this one sounds really fun, so here I am. Oh, and just a warning, I might cheat. A little. Just a tiny bit. I promise.

Author I read the most books from:
Umm James Patterson? I read the whole Maximum Ride series (8 books), some of his books for adults, and the first two books of the Witch and Wizard series.

Best squeal ever:
Probably Where She Went by Gayle Forman. After reading If I Stay I was desperately hoping there would be a sequel. I just could not bear not knowing what happened with Mia and Adam. A few months later, Where She Went came out, and I could not ask for a better conclusion to their story.

Currently reading:
I’m supposed to be reading The Bell Jar by Sylvia Path. It’s a summer reading book for school. BUT, I’m really reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. It’s so freaking good.

Drink of choice while reading:
I don’t really drink anything while I’m reading – usually end up too lost in the book to actually drink something. But if I had to choose, probably water. This way if I somehow accidentally spilled it on the book, the book won’t be damaged too badly. Another reason why I usually don’t drink while reading – the chance an accident could happen and potentially damage a book makes my cringe.

E-reader or physical book:
This one is easy. Physical books for the win! Duh. I’m not opposed to reading e-books, I just like physical books A LOT more.

Fictional character you probably would have dated in high school:
Ignoring the fact that I’m still in high school and… never mind. I’ll get back to you on that. I really have no idea who I would date, as I’m not really into dating in general…

Glad you gave this book a chance:
If I Stay by Gayle Forman. The first time I attempted reading it was the last month of fifth grade… yeeaaahhhh, I wasn’t really into it. I picked it up again a year or two ago (3-4 years after I first tried) and I thought it was awesome. I’m incredibly glad I gave it another chance. Who knew reading it as a 13 year old opposed to reading it as a 9 year old would make such a huge difference?

Hidden gem book:
Umm? Grasping at Eternity by Karen Ann Hooper?

Important moment in your reading life:
Probably when my reading skills up to the point where I could read books by myself. I would definitely feel so passionately about books if my mom still had to help me read a book.

Witchstruck by Victoria Lamb.

Kinds of books you won’t read:
Hmm, first of all with the exception of Juvenile fiction, I won’t read anything that is not YA. And no horror. Or religious books. Or books that include content that is not age appropriate.

Major book hangover because of:
Hmmm, I don’t really remember… Oh, yeah, I had a major book handover because of White Cat by Holly Black. It was awesome… and I read it whole book in one single sitting.

Number of bookcases you own:
I currently own only two. I’m working on persuading my parents to buy me another one – I have a whole box of books (I think there are at least 15 in there) that need a home on a shelf, but don’t have one because my shelves are too small. That and I am unwilling to let go of some of the books from my childhood (picture books included).

One book you have read multiple times:
Besides the fact that I don’t usually reread books, you are making me pick only one?!? How about the whole Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. Oh, and the Percy Jackson series too (can you please write faster Rick Riordan?)

Preferred place to read:
On my bed or my rocking chair. They are both very comfy…

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:
“You can have your wishes, your plans, but at the end of the day, it’s out of your control” – Mia from If I Stay by Gayle Forman. There was a time where I struggled with the fact that no matter how much I tried to plan things to perfection, it didn’t usually go the way I wanted to, so this quote really means a lot to me. There are a lot of good quotes from If I Stay, just putting it out there.

Reading regret:
Most of the time, I have a no regrets policy. Or at least I try to. Regrets can be a waste of time – it’s not like you can change the past. Unfortunately I do have a few reading regrets. One of them just happens to be reading Twilight… -_-

I hate this question. How can I choose? I have soooo many favorite books. Ummm, If I Stay by Gayle Forman (yes, this book again), Harry Potter and Percy Jackson? And then there’s Delirium and Divergent, just to name a few. Argh. So so many good books.

Very excited for this release more than others:
Ohh, United We Spy by Ally Carter. It’s the very last book in the Gallagher Girls series and I NEED to know what happens to Cammie and gang. And then there’s The House of Hades by Rick Riordan…

Worst bookish habit:
Another easy one. Finally! My worst bookish habit is peeking at the ending. I can’t help it. My “excuse”? Well, endings can make or break a book… I have to make sure the ending is good so I can decide whether it is worth it to continue reading the book. Don’t judge okay?
