10 Books I’d Mash Together

5 crossovers I want to read so badly

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and Bookish and now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

Today’s prompt is a freebie so I’m doing “Books I’d Mash Together” which is fun because there are a bunch of crossovers I’d love to read, if I’m ever given the chance. (Also, if this prompt seems familiar, it’s because it may or may not be a previous one that I drafted, but never got the chance to post). So, in no particular order…

1. Gallagher Girls and The Fixer

Ally Carter and Jennifer Lynn Barnes are great friends so it makes sense that they could maybe get together and write a crossover of their two series set in Washington D.C. Especially since both series have to deal with politics, in some way or another.

2. Illuminae and These Broken Stars

Two series co-authored by Amie Kaufman and set in space with an impending disaster and a greedy villain. Need I say more? They’d fit so well together!

3. Percy Jackson and Oh. My. Gods.

They both deal with Greek mythology and have camp-like set ups. I think it’d be super cool if Rick Riordan and Terra Lynn Childs could collaborate and write at least a short story with the two worlds.

4. Nevernight and Grave Mercy

What’s one thing The Nevernight Chronicles and His Fair Assassins have in common besides the fact that they’re both fantastic reads? A school for assassins. Oh, the possibilities a combined story could go.

5. Criminal Minds and The Naturals

Okay, so Criminal Minds isn’t a book, but this is my dream mash up so let me live! Both Criminal Minds and The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes deal with serial killers and how the FBI works to find them. They’re so similar in so many ways. Just imagine what would happen if the BAU were to take over and babysit the Naturals.

What about you?
What are some stories you’d mash together?

Great book mash-ups BTW! I would love to see quite a few of these happen too!
One of my fantasy mash-ups is the X-Men universe and Wicked Trilogy by Jennifer L. Armentrout! 😋
