I suck at commenting. It’s the truth, no matter how much I try to deny it. I’m terrible at visiting other people’s blogs and commenting there. I’m horrible at replying to comments on this blog. And if I’m being honest, I hate commenting. There, I said it. I hate that I feel like I have to comment. Like it’s another responsibility. On other blogs I’m usually shy and reserved and not a conversation starter, but the person who feels a bit forced to carry it […]

“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating. I’ve actually never read anything by Sarah Dessen. I know, I know, gasp! But I’ve heard so many good things about her writing I can’t help but wait for this book to be published. What are you waiting on?What’s your favorite Sarah Dessen book?Which one should I read first?
For the longest time, I only ever brought books in person. Why? Well, because I’m the type of person who takes like 10 minutes figuring out which copy of the book to buy. Hmm, this one has a scratch on the cover. This one has a damaged corner. This one… you get the idea. I cannot buy a book that is in a condition anything less than perfect. My obsession with only buying books in perfect condition (this only applies if I’m buying them new, […]
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.I have decided to try to participate in all of their memes with only one post…thus The Sunday Post – Stacking the Shelves. BOOK HAUL: Won: Deviantsby Maureen McGowen I won Deviants in a YASH contest. And I also won The Secret Diamond Sisters from Michelle Madow in another contest. It’s weird because I usually never win anything, but I’m not complaining. 🙂 Last […]
No one likes to be robbed. And yet there are people out there that like to rob others. People put a lot of effort into their creations and no one deserves to have their content stolen (okay, maybe, if you steal other people’s content, you do deserve to have yours stolen). A lot of bloggers have talked about plagiarism and I was going to but then I realized this post would be way too long. Instead, I want to focus on image copyrights. Story Time […]
“Waiting On” Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re eagerly anticipating. I’m really interested to see where this one goes, especially with all the other books about taking another identity out there. What are you waiting on?
Earth Day is tomorrow so I figured I would do an Earth Day related post. Earth Day was created for people to show their support of environmental protection and raise awareness for it. As book lovers, we also happen to love paper, which come from trees, which have an increasingly need to be planted. But happens when you run out of shelf space? What do you do with books you don’t want anymore? Throw them away? That’s a big no, no. Here are four ways […]
Fact checking is well, checking the facts presented in a book. Now, I get YA is composed of books of fiction, but every book, even fictional ones, have to have some elements of what we call reality. Honestly, I don’t really fact check. I won’t read something that is presented like a fact and then go look it up. If a character claims 60% of cavities are caused by drinking soda, okay, whatever. But if a “fact” contradicts something I know, whether in depth or […]
